Chelsey started City Chic Decor (EST. 2017), when she realized there wasn’t enough content on how to stylize and decorate a rented space. After exceeding thousands of visitors per month over many years, Chelsey’s blog eventually turned into her first book, Rental Style. Rental Style. under Skyhorse Publishing, was released in May 2020. It was the #1 new release in Interior Decorating and is currently sold at Barnes & Noble, Target, and Amazon. Her second interior book, Shut the Front Door, released under Gibbs Smith in 2023, and she's finalizing her third release now.

In 2021, Chelsey decided to combine her love of genealogy + flea market finds and started returning lost heirlooms to family members and descendants. Growing up, Chelsey’s father taught her the ins and outs of genealogy, and it’s a passion for Chelsey to utilize that knowledge to reunite families with physical memories of their lost loved ones. Known globally as the Heirloom Hunter, Chelsey has become a social media sensation with weekly nternational media attention.
